The YANMAR eG100i-6CR is the world’s first inverter diesel generator in its class — a compact, water-cooled single-phase unit that delivers high-quality pure sine wave output for sensitive equipment including computers, televisions, and medical devices, as well as inductive loads like pumps and motors.
At the heart of the eG100i is YANMAR’s CVCP (Constant Voltage & Constant Phase) inverter system, which continuously regulates both voltage and frequency regardless of load variation. Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) is held to 1% or less — significantly cleaner than the approximately 19% THD typical of a conventional synchronous generator. The result is stable, reliable power that won’t damage sensitive electronics.
Energy-Saving Operation
Unlike a conventional generator that runs at a fixed RPM, the eG100i’s energy-saving system continuously adjusts engine speed to match the actual load. This makes it up to 20% more fuel-efficient than comparable models, while also reducing noise at part load. The expanded 30L fuel tank supports over 14 hours of continuous operation at 70% load.
Compact and Lightweight
The combination of YANMAR’s vertical water-cooled diesel engine and a PMA (Permanent Magnet Alternator) enables a lightweight, compact design with excellent portability — making the eG100i well suited to remote sites and applications where space or transport logistics matter.
Automatic Start/Stop Ready
The eG100i-6CR includes a terminal for AMF/ATS panels as standard, allowing the unit to be configured to start automatically when mains power fails and shut down when it’s restored. This makes it a capable hands-off standby solution for homes, small businesses, and remote properties.
