Compact, Quiet, and Built to Last
The Kubota GL9000A is a 8.8 kVA single-phase silent-type diesel generator, direct-coupled to Kubota’s D722 water-cooled diesel engine. Running at 3000 rpm, it delivers stable 240V output in a compact, low-noise enclosure suited to a wide range of residential, commercial, off-grid, and hire applications.
The generator and engine are direct-coupled — eliminating the drive belt found on many competing units, reducing drive-line losses, improving reliability, and removing one of the most common maintenance items. Kubota’s TVCS (Three Vortex Combustion System) improves the air-fuel mixture for cleaner emissions and better fuel economy across the load range.
Long-Range Tank for Extended Operation
The 28-litre fuel tank provides up to 8.5 hours of run time at full load — well above what most portable generators offer at this power rating — making the GL9000A a reliable choice for extended outages or remote locations where refuelling is inconvenient.
Analog Controller
The GL9000A uses an analog controller — straightforward and reliable for standard standby and backup use. For applications requiring 2-wire auto start (such as solar backup), the GL9000D digital model is available.
Tier 4 Emissions — Super Mini Series Engine
Kubota’s Z-series and D-series Super Mini engines meet Tier 4 EPA emission levels, making them among the cleanest-running diesel engines in the world — an important consideration for residential installations, indoor-adjacent use, and environmentally sensitive sites.
